The General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Apostle Immanuel Tettey, has extended warm fraternal greetings to The Church of Pentecost during its 48th General Council Meeting, urging the church to deepen its impact in transforming society through the gospel.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the GPCC National Executive Council (NEC), Apostle Tettey congratulated the leadership and entire membership of the Church of Pentecost for convening the annual gathering under the theme, "The Church Unleashed to Transform Society Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit."
Participants
He acknowledged the presence and leadership of the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost and President of the GPCC, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, as well as the General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Samuel Gyau-Obuobi, the Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang-Bekoe, members of the Executive Council, government officials, clergy, and distinguished guests.
Apostle Tettey described the Church of Pentecost as a key founding member of the GPCC, whose growth and accomplishments continue to positively reflect on the broader Body of Christ in Ghana and beyond.
"The accomplishments of the Church of Pentecost resonate across the entire Body of Christ. The victories that our Lord Jesus Christ accomplishes through the Church are victories we all celebrate."
Great Commission
Reflecting on the theme of the council meeting, he emphasized that it aligns with the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ, calling on believers not only to win souls but also to disciple them effectively.
"The Church must indeed go out and win souls for Christ. But beyond winning souls, we must disciple them and raise them as agents of transformation in our communities."
He further commended the Church of Pentecost for its visible societal impact, noting that the church's work exemplifies how faith can influence national development and community transformation.
Encouraging the church to remain forward-looking, Apostle Tettey urged the leadership not to become complacent despite their achievements, drawing inspiration from the Bible, specifically Joshua 13:1.
"Though you have accomplished much, there is still more land to conquer. I believe the Lord is calling the Church of Pentecost to even greater works."
He assured the Church of Pentecost of the continued prayers and support of the GPCC, expressing confidence that God would empower the church to achieve greater heights for His glory.
The 48th General Council Meeting brought together ministers, leaders, and stakeholders of the Church of Pentecost to reflect on the past year, seek divine direction, and strategize for future growth and impact.
Apostle Tettey concluded his message with a prayer for God's continued guidance and blessings upon the church and the nation at large.
